After the success of the first event last year, Amari Orchid Pattaya hosts the second Pattaya Gourmet Festival at Mantra Restaurant and Bar beginning tomorrow (Saturday) and running through March 22. An international team of guest chefs will present an array of first-class menus.
The program features an opening gala dinner, wine dinners, cognac tasting, an Australian barbeque night, cooking classes and culminates with a grand finale dinner next Thursday. Mantra executive chef Kai-Uwe Klenz introduced the four guest master chefs: Maria Elia, head chef at London’s Delfina Restaurant for 10 years.
Steven Snow, owner of Fins, Australia’s most awarded restaurant.
Yannick Ollivier Cayrol, with years of experience in the hospitality industry and is an authority on Thai, Indian and Spanish cuisine.
Chan Kam Yuen, Hong Kong chef with three decades of experience.
Amari Orchid Pattaya general manager David Cumming reflected, “Over the years we’ve been working really hard with the City Hall and one of the reasons organizing the event is to help put Pattaya on the map.”
